Now Let’s Make Your PC Run Like New
We Recommend All PC Users Follow This:
Allow 5-10 minutes – Depending on your PC Speed
As you install new software you unknowingly give permission for all sorts of extra software to run alongside. Most of this ‘unwanted software’ is there for the benefit of the software maker & slows down your PC. We’re now going to show you how to disable this software without using any speed-up apps most of which also have a performance payload..
1. Uninstall Any PC Speed Up Software
If You are Running Speed up Software – Remove It:
PCSpeedUp
IOBIT Advanced Systen Care
Boot Speed
Tuneup Utilities
Advanced Widows Optimiser
Super Easy Boot Up
PC Optimiser
System Speed Up Pro
Perfect Speed
Tuneup 360
PC Tuner
Any Other PC Speed Up Software
Type ‘add or remove programs’ in your search & uninstall the software
2. Disable Needless Start-up Items (Win 7 & Vista)
Windows 7 & Vista Users:

Antivirus software
Dropbox(if you use)
Roboform (or other password management software if you use)
You can safely disable:
Acrotray
Skype or other messengers such as Yahoo Messenger or MSN Messenger (leave enabled if you use daily)
Adobe updater
Adobe CS Service Manager
Nvidia or ATI control panels
Webcam software
Any Printer Software
Torrent software
Quicktime
Adobe Flash Player
Mouse software
Anything Unknown
Apple Ipod Sevices
Itunes
Snagit
Adobe Reader
Any Audio Software
Any Wireless Management software
Click on apply & OK when you are finished – click on ‘Restart Later’ if prompted
There is no hard fast rules to this – you won’t damage your system if you uncheck something you shouldn’t – this is just software that starts with your windows so the less the better – the only one that’s necessary is antivirus. I usually disable everything other than antivirus, password storing apps, dropbox & skype. Remember the software you need will still start when you click the application – it doesn’t need to be running in the background unless you use it all the time.
2. Disable Needless Start-up Items (Windows 8)
Windows 8 Users – Move Mouse to Top Right in Apps Screen & Click Search

All Windows Users:

You need to be a little more careful with this section – if you follow the rules above you can’t go wrong. Worst case scenario is If a piece of software you’ve installed stops working – then you can either reinstall it or re-enable the service..
4. Set Search Service to Manual
This service was designed to speed up search by contantly constructing an index bit like a librarian – this has a big speed payload especially on older systems & systems with loads of files. We’re now going to tell windows to start this as & when needed rather than always on
Windows 7 & Vista Users

Windows 8 Users – Move Mouse to Top Right in Apps Screen & Click Search

What You’ll See:

By default windows installs components which most of us will never use – these services don’t need to running.

That’s it for PC Speed up – We recommendd you run a Services & Start-up items cleanup every 6 months
