One of the key things that has kept our business relevant is the ability to change with the times and much of this is through education.

Educating yourself is about watching, reading and listening to things going on around you and searching out relevant information for your particular industry and drilling down into your niche.

There are lots of great places to find quality education and information to improve your skills.

Education Hubs – Youtube

One of the best hubs is Youtube as it is the biggest video provider on the planet. My son wanted to be an engineer however his maths was not good enough so he was able to find university level tutorials on youtube which helped him get up to speed and is now and engineer.

Lots of times you can find product information, industry news and much more on youtube. It is also a great place to upload videos about your business as it one of if not the biggest search engines around.

YouTube has over a billion users — almost one-third of all people on the Internet — and every day people watch hundreds of millions of hours on YouTube and generate billions of views.

Education Hubs – Ted Talks

Another place I visit regularly is Ted Talks. TED is a platform for ideas worth spreading. Started in 1984 as a conference where technology, entertainment and design converged, TED today shares ideas from a broad spectrum — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independent TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.

There are also lots of TED community talks evolving around the world which are great to be apart of.

Here is a friend of mine Megan Washington.

Education Hubs – Coursera

If you want a bit more professional education then we suggest Coursera. Coursera provides universal access to the world’s best education, partnering with top universities and organizations to offer courses online. Many are free.

Online learning plays a significant role in a lifelong education. In fact, a recent report by the U.S. Department of Education found that “classes with online learning (whether taught completely online or blended) on average produce stronger student learning outcomes than do classes with solely face-to-face instruction.”

Ok so that should be enough to get you started. Google will help you find more specialised education and more relative industry information.

If you want simple online business training then join our course and read our introduction on the front page.
